The sporadic flooding in Thailand, drought in California, extreme cold weather in Toronto and menacing smog in Hong Kong force us to visualize human’s fate due to environmental degradation. Sustainable development, which stresses the co-development of economics, environment and social, is on the lips of academia, policy makers and environmentalists in recent decade. Modern builders and occupants not only put their lens on costs, quality of the buildings, they are also aware of environmental protection and sustainability issues.
 

Objectives

  • To promote global sustainable real estate research and provide up-to-date information for policy makers;
  • To act as an academic research hub for hosting visiting professors and researchers;
  • To provide opportunities for our students to engage in various research activities, lay a solid ground for their future postgraduate studies;
  • To organize academic seminars.
